Description

Beatles Related - John Lennon Signed Gallery Invoice. A receipt from the Indica Gallery in London for a piece of art purchased by Lennon on February 24, 1967, signed by him in black ink. The date on the invoice places the purchase sometime during the recording of the Beatles' masterwork Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (specifically, in between recording the songs "A Day in the Life" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"). The Indica is where Lennon met future wife Yoko Ono, at a private preview of her art exhibition entitled "Unfinished Paintings and Objects", just three months prior. A fantastic signature from a key period in the musician's life, in Very Fine condition with fold creases, accompanied by a color 8" x 10" photo of Lennon taken during the same time period. Accompanied by an LOA from noted Beatles historian Frank Caiazzo and a James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
