Description

Beatles 1st State Butcher Cover and United Press Recall Teletype Yesterday and Today Mono LP (Capitol 2553, 1966). As a Beatles aficionado, you're well aware of the significance of the "Butcher Cover" - but if you're a recent arrival to Earth, just think of this album cover as an experiment in pop art expressionism, an experiment that went horribly awry! The story's all in the United Press teletype sheet that's included with this copy. The cover's a very nice copy - looks NM 8 from the front, but VG-EX 6 from the back, owing to some staining. The cover is in shrinkwrap for protection, but it's not the original factory wrap. The accompanying record, which contains four Billboard Top Ten classics ("Yesterday - #1; "We Can Work It Out" - #1; "Nowhere Man" - #3; and "Day Tripper" - #5) and two other charting singles is in VG-EX 6.
