Michael Jackson Handwritten Notes with 45rpm Test Pressing From Ben. Includes five pages of lined spiral notebook paper with handwritten notes by Jackson in purple and blue ink, written on both sides of all but one of the sheets. The notes appear to be drafts for a message to an unspecified executive at CBS Records, in which Jackson expresses much dissatisfaction with the label and makes repeated demands for increased, direct communication and input. Michael and his brothers left Motown for CBS in 1975, despite the influence of Berry Gordy (mentioned in the letters), and recorded with the label as The Jacksons until 1981. The notes are accompanied by a stereo 45 test pressing for the song "You Can Cry On My Shoulder" from the 1972 soundtrack Ben, with a handwritten label listing the date of the recording as June 6, 1972. The notes are in Very Fine condition with fold creases and wear, and the recording is in Excellent condition. Previously featured in The Jacksons auction (2007) at Guernsey's.
