Winning an Oscar for Best Actress in her leading role as Miss Josephine Norris in To Each His Own, Olivia de Havilland put forth perhaps the most moving performance of her career. This dress from To Each His Own was screen-worn by de Havilland in the film and has a Paramount tag attached to the inner waistline with her name written in brown ink. To top it off, the piece was created by renowned costume designer Edith Head. What a combination -- an Oscar-winning performance and Edith Head original! The delicate brown dress is accentuated with intricate ruffles along the front and horizontal pleats along the base. Accompanied by an image of de Havilland wearing the dress in the film.
