Description
Elvis Presley and Natalie Wood Rare Dual Signed Receipt. Perhaps one of the rarest Elvis-associated signature groupings ever acquired, presented here is an original store receipt from S.H. Kress & Co. in Memphis, TN, dated October 16, 1956, signed on the reverse by Elvis and Natalie Wood. During this time, Elvis had invited Wood to Memphis to stay with him and his mother. While visiting the S.H. Kress & Co. store, a patron who spotted them asked Natalie to sign her receipt. Not wanting to feel upstaged in the presence of his celebrity girlfriend, Elvis then proceeded to grab the receipt and scribble out a signature of his own. Both signatures are penned in a light pencil, with Wood's standing out as the larger of the two. Some minor paper loss to the bottom right corner of the slip, not affecting the signatures. Just days after signing this very piece, Wood abruptly left Graceland and discontinued her relationship with Presley. To date, this is the only known pairing of signatures from Presley and Wood during their relationship! A one-of-a-kind, "must have" relic for any serious Elvis collector!
