Description

John Denver's 1994 Taylor 12-String Acoustic Stage-Used Guitar. This guitar was used extensively by John Denver throughout the 1990s on world tours. We offer photos of it being stage-used in 1995 in Topeka and at the Wildlife Concert. They were also featured prominently on numerous recordings, as well as pictured on the covers of at least two of Denver's commercially acclaimed Compact Discs: 'John Denver Live' and 'The Wildlife Concert'. Used during his very last 1997 Australian tour. Produced by Taylor Guitars in 1994. Serial number & model 855 has been authenticated by Taylor Guitars as that made specifically for John Denver. This traditional double bound body boasts a Sitka Spruce top enhanced by Indian Rosewood back & sides. The ivory bound neck is made of mahogany topped with an Indian Rosewood fretboard for a classic acoustic touch. Adorning the fretboard are radiant "Progressive Diamond" inlays. The rosette sparks three-ring abalone inlays. The nut width measures 1 7/8 on this 25 ½" scaled neck. The headstock is crowned with landmark gold Mini-Grover tuners. Comes with original black Taylor hardshell case. In excellent to better condition. Letter of Provenance from Hal Thau, former manager of John Denver.
