Description

Elvis Presley and Parents Signed Graceland Purchase Agreement. This is perhaps one of the most historic Elvis items ever offered: a three-page real estate sales contract for Graceland, dated March 26, 1957, three pages, 8.5" x 14", signed on the last page by Elvis (as "Elvis Aron Presley" with "Aron" added after initial signature), and Vernon and Gladys Presley, as well as realtor Ruth Brown Moore.
Items signed by all three family members are extremely rare, due to Mrs. Presley's untimely death on August 14, 1958; the presence of Elvis' middle name in the signature makes it even more desirable.
The Southern colonial-style house, situated on 13.5 acres of land in the then-rural outskirts of Memphis, was dubbed "Graceland" by its original owner, F. E. Toof, whose daughter was named Grace. As part of Elvis' offer of $102,500, the Presley's home at 1034 Audubon Drive in Memphis was traded in for a value of $55,000.
Also included is an 11" x 17" engineer's survey draft of the estate and surrounding acreage and a two-page letter from Shelby County regarding property taxes, dated January 29, 1958. The documents are in overall Very Fine condition with some instances of staple and binder holes to the top edges, mild to moderate toning, and a fold crease to the drawing. Accompanied by COAs from PSA/DNA and Rick Consola.
