Lucille Ball's Love Letters to Husband Gary Morton, One Signed "Lucy." A fantastic set of love letters and notes from Lucille Ball to her husband of 28 years, Gary Morton. Eight different items, including a pretty Valentine's Day card, and a note with the pre-printed heading "From the Desk of Lucy" on which Lucy has crossed out the word "desk", scribbled in the word "bed", and written simply "Gary! Gary! Gary!" Most are signed "Your Wife" or "The Mrs.", but there is a three-page handwritten letter on Hudson-Rissman Decorative Accessories stationery, which the star has signed boldly in blue ink, "Lucy." This letter is quite touching -- Lucy had forgotten that morning to wish Gary a Happy Birthday ("...I love you - and I know I must have hurt you so much this morning - Please forgive me..."). Intimate material in Excellent condition. This lot will be accompanied by a letter of provenance from Susie Morton as the widow of Gary Morton, Ms. Ball's second husband. The lot is not offered by the estate of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz.
