Guided navigation is the ability to add and remove keywords and categorizations of items to filter your results. As you add these
filters, they appear in the breadcrumb trail above the search results. You can remove any filter from the breadcrumb trail at any time.
Start your search as you've always done. From the home page, catalog home page, or search page, you can select a keyword
and choose a coin type such as "Nickels" or "Barber Half Dollars", and then click "Search". Much of the time, this will be all you need!
You can add a filter in the left column, such as "Category", "Current Bid Range", "Reserve Status", and so on. Each time you make such a
selection, the listing of results will become smaller, showing only those items that meet all the criteria you have selected. You can also
enter one or more keywords, such as "The Godfather", if that will help your search. Sometimes a new selection will open up new sub-selection possibilities.
You can add or drop fields or keywords from your results at any time. Above the listing of results is a complete list of the filters you have selected.
Click on any filter to remove it, and the page will refresh to show all items matching the new broader specifications.
The guided navigation section only lists things that contain results. For example, if you are already looking at all recordings, then the category
filter will only show results for items already identified as recordings. To expand your list of categories, remove a filter from your breadcrumb
trail by clicking on it.

Using "quotes" around your search phrase can help narrow the results to exactly what you are interested in. A
search for the godfather without quotes will return all results that contain both "the" and "godfather",
in any order. A search for "the godfather" in quotes returns all results with the exact phrase the godfather,
in that order.
This will produce more items, and once you see how the items are listed, you can narrow your search results with more
If you're looking for only costumes, by all means choose "costumes" from the drop-down list. If you're searching for
items that span multiple categories, choose ALL from the drop-down.
The search from our home page covers everything we have to offer, whether in auction or inventory. Try that first.
If you aren't interested in auctions, click the SALES tab above to access items only in our multi-million-dollar
inventory. To locate items only in our current auctions, click the AUCTIONS tab above.
Maybe it's a name (like Garbo), or a record label (Sun), or a year (1964). Perhaps you know the catalog number
(Capitol 2553) — use that as well.
When you use multiple words, the search engines will try to find items with all of those words in the description.
Try using "OR" and "NOT". If you're interested in John Lennon and Paul McCartney, you can enter "Lennon OR McCartney".
This would limit your search to just items with either of those two terms in the description. Or, if you are interested
in Beatles albums from labels other than Capitol, you can enter "Beatles NOT Capitol".
Don't use commas, periods, dashes, etc., unless required — such as in a name like O'Hara.
Perhaps we don't have the item you are looking for now, but chances are we will soon. Add the particular item(s)
you are looking for to our "MyWantList" and you'll be notified as soon as it/they
become available. If you would like further assistance, please don't hesitate to

2013 December 19 Heritage Charity Holiday Auction #557
Ends Thursday, December 19, 2013
Heritage Auctions has announced the creation of a "Dollars For Dimes" charitable initiative in 2013 to benefit the mission of The March of Dimes,
one of America's most beloved charities. In it, Heritage will donate $1 to the Dallas chapter of the organization for every dime it sells during the calendar year.
"Heritage has a long history of working with various charities, with the March of Dimes chief among them," said Steve Ivy, Co-Founder and Co-Chair of Heritage Auctions.
"We've made standing donations to the March of Dimes for several years and wanted make it more interactive for collectors. They'll know now that, with their purchase of
a dime from us — any year and any grade — will result in a donation to a very good cause."
Heritage estimates the total amount of the 2013 donation, based on the numbers from 2010-2012, will exceed $10,000.
The March of Dimes Foundation is a United States nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies. It was founded by President Franklin D. Roosevelt
in 1938 to combat polio. The foundation's annual fundraising event requested that every child donate a dime. Originally known as the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis,
the name "March of Dimes" was coined by comedian Eddie Cantor, playing on the name of a popular newsreel series of the 1930s, "The March of Time."
