Buddy Holly Two-Piece Outfit (c. 1956). Two pieces including: a jacket, made of mint green wool, single breasted, two button front closure, three deep front pockets, label reads "Designed by Campus Clothes Exclusively for S&Q Clothiers;" together with a pair of dark gray pinstriped wool trousers, label reads "Phil's Men's Shop/792 Third Ave;" included with a small red card signed by Maria Elena Holly, Buddy's widow. Interestingly, Holly can be seen wearing these pants in the book "Remembering Buddy." (Please note there are moth holes evident in the jacket).
PROVENANCE: This outfit was originally sold in the Sotheby's (New York) auction titled "Property from the Estate of Buddy Holly," June 23, 1990, Lot 372.
