Jimi Hendrix Personally-Owned and Stage-Worn Moccasin-Style Suede Boots with Handwritten Letter of Authenticity from Noel Redding. A pair of boots in a dark rust color with fringe around the tops. No size noted but they are 15" tall from the sole to the top and 10.5" long from heel to toe. According to Experience bassist Noel Redding, Jimi purchased these in San Francisco in 1967, the "Summer of Love" (how appropriate). This was the period when they were playing for the first time at the Fillmore. Redding found these when going through his collection of Experience stage clothes in 1986. A full transcript of the letter can be found on our website. Note the similarity in style and wear to a pair of Hendrix boots sold by Heritage in 2008 (Auction 688, Lot 30123) for $21,510. These almost certainly came from the same maker. The boots are well worn at the soles but what an iconic piece of rock history these are. Perfect for display.More Information:

"This is a statement regarding the suede moccasins with tassles which belonged to Jimi Hendrix.
"Jimi got these in San Francisco, California in the summer of 1967.
"This was when we were playing for the first time at the Fillmore.
"Just after we played at the Monterey Pop Festival- our first gig in America.
"I found these when going through all my experience stage clothes last year.
